Akalabeth Last Updated 03/23/00 02:04:15 PM Akalabeth Has 3 different versions:
Version 1 Richard Garriott published the game in 1980 and sold "less than 12" copies before it made its way to California Pacific computer. The disks were all hand numbered. It came on either disk or cassette version. It was in a baggie (7" X 8 1/2")and included a 7" X 8" cover art page, a disk or cassette with label(The cassette also had a label on it instructing the user how to load it from cassette), an 8 page booklet measuring 4 1/4" X 3 1/2", and another small card (4" X 4") with the Akalabeth graphics on it.

Version 2 California Pacific NEVER released a cassette version of the game, all their releases were in 5 1/4" format and they were all for the Apple. The first release was in 1980. It included a cover art page different from the one usually seen with the game, it has a castle on the front with writing on it, unlike the usually seen demon rising from the pentegram. It came with a 4 page booklet that was pretty large in size.
